2009-09-16: Pipe Wrench (acid)
Noel is kind of right
As much as this masked crusader is trying to be the Best He Can (instead of the nastiest or fiercest or most vengeful) it's still pretty weird what he's doing.
But he's got a plan! You'll see! And Noel is definitely a crazy monstrous murderer, so don't get too sympathetic. Rhetoric on every side.
Today's incentive for voting isn't the most exciting. But there's a cute drawing, maybe! I hope you like it.
This comic is in the following storylines:
- Variations
A long-running series, maybe the crux of the site. Reader submits a suggestion, and I draw three comics based on that suggestion. Originally all three had to start the same, but it evolved. - Bat-Rabid
What if the Dark Night were a nice person who isn't interested in revenge so much as making sure no-one gets as badly hurt as he was?
This comic includes the contribution:
- Keith suggested: A pipe wrench turns out to be a vital clue
Text transcript
Commissioner Quickly: You won't get away with this, you... villain! Noel: You know, originally "villain" meant "commoner", like, "farmhand". The jackass nobles poisoned the word with connotations of the oh-so-sinister and gauche underclass. Noel: And now there's Bat-Rabid, another privileged and idealistic narcissist white male with Hurt Feelings and a fear-hatred for the people his imbalanced wealth has squeezed into dire straits. Noel: He stole death from us! He stole our escape from the wheel of capital extraction! << CLICK >> Bat-Rabid: You're misrepresenting my position. << CLK CLK CLK >> Noel: I'll drop him! His blood will be on your hands!! << CRACK >> << POP >> Dr Quickly: That should buy us some time.
