2006-02-27: Escape Phrase 13
Treehouse
In case it's not utterly obvious, they're hiding out in someone's treehouse.
Can you tell I switched to the new site engine I wrote? I should apologize to users of Internet Explorer 5 for OS X... since the main comic image link seems to crash it. HA! HA HA! Ahem. I'm sorry.
This comic is in the storyline:
- Escape Phrase
This was intended to be a 24-hour comic but my hand hurt too much twelve pages in. And then it turned into a crazy experimental study of the interaction between form and content in the comics medium.
Text transcript
Jimothy: What's so funny? Tsamantha: Oh, sorry, I still can't believe you called 911 when we were in the middle of a police medslab. Jimothy: Bah. I was scared. Tsamantha: I know. I'll try to stop smirking, somehow. Tsamantha: It doesn't really itch at me, though -- there's no horror in MY forgetting where you live. Jimothy: Fair enough. I just... I can't even be sure of what I DO remember -- all the context is gone. Soap bubbles in a raging river. [[Night has fallen.]] Jimothy: I'll tell you what I CAN remember: my dreams. They're all there, clear as day, right back to what must be childhood. I don't even have to try, they're clearer than anything I just imagine. Brighter. Remembering them is like dreaming them again. Tsamantha: I'm glad you remember ME at least. Jimothy: Of course! You're... you're in my dreams.
