2006-02-20: Escape Phrase 10
Moving Along
Poor kids.
We're nearing the end of what I managed to do for the 24-hour comic (yeah, I only made it to about 12 hours before my hand stopped working).
This comic is in the storyline:
- Escape Phrase
This was intended to be a 24-hour comic but my hand hurt too much twelve pages in. And then it turned into a crazy experimental study of the interaction between form and content in the comics medium.
Text transcript
Tsamantha: I didn't see it -- notice it. Why didn't you say something at the cafe? Jimothy: ... I couldn't remember. Jimothy: I've had that dream a dozen times, but until I saw the wall yesterday, the end of it was never clear in my memory. Tsamantha: Tell me what it said -- what I said. Jimothy: Uh... "No trifling six event mouse will bring us together." Jimothy: Tsam? Tsamantha: PASSWORD ACCEPTED. ESCAPE SYSTEM IS ACTIVE. SPEAK YOUR COMMANDS CLEARLY. Jimothy: What? That's not funny! What's going on? Tsamantha: ... IGNORING RHETORICAL COMMENTS; GOING ON IS THAT YOU HAVE SAID THE ESCAPE PHRASE. Jimothy: This... gah! Call button! Telephone! GAH!
