It's a tricky recipe, making anti-matter at home. Very dangerous. Lots of home anti-matter labs end up exploding.
A lot of people are willing to take the risk, though, since it's so much cheaper than filling your car at the anti-matter station.
There, I managed to explain the somewhat obscure comic without making a big fuss over it.
