The subtitle of this comic refers to the curious fact that there never was a Statue of Liberty in this world, Dr Quickly just thought it'd be a funny joke to build an entrance to his well-protected underground bomb shelter that looked like a torch-wielding hand. Because of that movie, you know.

Rabid: Wh-huh?! Rabid: Hey, the apocalypse. I guess I don't need to jump after all. Rabid: On clear days you can see the ruins of the city -- there!! The glow and char of a dead civilization. L'il Rabid: If Mom and Dad found out I was running away to explore the ruins they'd tan my hide!! <<peck>> L'il Rabid: Wow!! Dr Quickly: Pesky nosy kid! I was right in the middle of a shower when you set off the proximity alarms! L'il Rabid: Yipes!
